Concert For Bangladesh
Hey, I didn’t remember to think about today being the 42nd anniversary of The Concert For Bangladesh. There are many reasons I didn’t get to see this live at Madison Square Garden. First, I was still a pooping in my pants baby, the second is that I lived in Texas with my mommy who didn’t want to drive to NYC and the third and fourth are: I didn’t know who George Harrison was nor did I know what Bangladesh was.
What I do know is that as a young teen I got my dirty little hands on a vinyl copy of the triple album set. Holy Smoke Cakes Batman! You got your George and pals jamming some fantastic classics: ‘Here Comes The Sun’, ‘A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall’, ‘My Sweet Lord’, ‘That’s The Why God Planned It’; ‘Wah-Wah’, ‘Just Like A Women and on and on.
Be smart and snatch up a copy. Vinyl is best if you can find it but there is also a re-master from 2005 with some extra what have yous.

Thanks for the reminder. I brought the DVD collection set with me to Germany and am going to watch it tonight! One disc documents behind the scenes information and drama; the other disc is the concert. It is an awesome event.
