Immersed in a downtempo soundscape, Berlin-based producer Yvois’ new track “Sit Tight” is a hypnotic wonder. Featuring tape-loops from Ducks!’ Craig Schuftan and strings by Ben Osborn, this new single is the late-nite lounge soundtrack of the summer.
The backstory explained, “Sit Tight was hatched during a sound-swapping session between Yvois and regular collaborators Ducks! and Ben Osborn. As Ducks! producer Craig Schuftan played his lo-fi tape loops, Ben listened from the next room, and – feeling inspired – added strings. Yvois’ resulting soundscape is a luscious musical collage of textures and colours; dreamlike and cinematic. Sit Tight takes its cues from artists like Four Tet, Tourist, and Bonobo; but employs a warm, evocative palette that’s all it’s own.”
The video, directed by visual mastermind Nadin Heinke, is an aquatic dreamscape. Colors, creatures, and innovation in surrealistic awe. Meditative and provocative 3D-animated beauty.
