DAMON JOHNSON – Nobody Usin’
Damon Johnson has been releasing some awesome music with Black Star Riders (in addition to touring with Thin Lizzy and Ricky Warwick), and has also found time to craft a rocking solo album: ‘Echo’. “Nobody Usin’” is one of my favourite tracks on that recent release: a swaggering, riff-powered track that is also hooky as hell.
It’s a real rock and roll gem, now with a great new video to go with it.

THE AMORETTES – Let The Neighbours Call The Cops
The Amorettes just released a smashing good album called ‘White Hot Heat’, and this tune and video is a great example of the band’s gutsy, brawny brand of rock and roll.
In September, The Amorettes heads out on tour with Love Zombies, but they have several gigs in the UK before that – check out the website for all the details.

Broken Romeo – Something Good
by Maria Savva
My track of the day today is from Broken Romeo. “Something Good” is the latest single from the band’s Side One album. This project began as an EP back in 2013 and the band have been releasing singles at intervals. They now have a full album, and there is one track left to be released to complete the record.
You can stream and buy the single, and the album, on Bandcamp
