PARTEFACTS Time Travel, the REUBEN SUTHERLAND Video
Partefacts Time Travel is available at Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud.
by Walter Price
Mythical and other out-of-this-world characters play the guitar, innovative PCs, a floating deer shooting lasers from its eyes, dinosaurs, pyramids, black holes, and so much more trippy imagery can be found jam-packed into the new collage music video for Partefacts “Time Travel”, created by the genius mind of Reuben Sutherland.
This mind-blowing vision is set within the walls of retro-styled video games. It’s truly a stylish work of art, which shouldn’t be too much of a surprise if you remember that Sutherland also created the videos for DUCKS!’ “Delivery” and “With Compliments”. And this time around this super creator has outdone himself. This new meticulous work seems to say that everything we could imagine the future to be will inevitably be our cheeky past. It’s a constant loop.
Which is, if this is what he was going for, fits hand in glove with the song that has been quoted by the trio to be about, “…a three-eyed non-committal space boyfriend who hops around the timeline the way people used to fly EasyJet.” An interesting premise no doubt and one that lets folks know that Partefacts [Lani Bagley and Craig Schuftan and Christa Belle] are a unique art collective and this single and its film are just the beginning.
You can stream the funky “Time Travel” and witness Reuben Sutherland’s ingenious video, now at the GTC.
It’s time to play…

“Partefacts are the confetti on your rug, the balloons lingering halfway up your wall. A psychedelic collage of noisy synths, cosmic disco and interlocking vocals, arranged and rearranged until it satisfies the trio’s lust for pop.” – bio
