New Spell release “Rain”

San Francisco is in a flurry of great pop music these days and the brilliant duo New Spell (Leanne Kelly/Jake Frautschi) are no exception. From their forthcoming self-released album Of Time, comes the Earthy (literally) single “Rain”.

Heavy at the start but that is deceiving as the track builds into a swinging retro-esque synth pop dream. Lyrically poignant but not preachy song about Mother Earth’s state. Is global warming fun? No, but this track is. Oodles of.
