About to give in, SINGLE/VIDEO: LAUREN MARSH – “Fire In Me” [Silhouettes EP]
Lauren Marsh – Silhouettes is available @ Apple Music.

by Walter Price
On her recent single, “Fire In Me”, Lauren Marsh sings, “My friends all said I better be careful/ Cause you don’t seem like a straightforward soul/ But one touch and/ I’m sinking in/ Not worried about forgiveness/ All I know is I’m under your water”. The heart wants what the heart wants and when it decides to cross whatever threshold, it’s hard to retract.
Directed by Ryan Hansen, the video’s setting could be straight out of Better Homes & Gardens magazine. The performer moves about her day, singing her impassioned honesty as her body movements hypnotize and add punctuation to the sentiments. The track itself and this film shine lights on Marsh’s vocal dexterity as well as her skill for dramatic and tactile storytelling.
“Fire In Me” comes from the stunning four-track EP, ‘Silhouettes’. An album brimming with emotion, empowerment, and truths. For fans of Sigrid, Florence Welch, and Ellie Goulding.
