…we were a home, LARA RUGGLES Lighthouse

Not all relationships ended are worth tormenting over, perhaps cherished for its run instead— so the latest single “Lighthouse” from Tuscun singer-songwriter Lara Ruggles subtly seems to lament.
Ruggles’ signature of-the-elements vocals are gorgeously intact, but the magic in this single is the sparseness. Poetry amid an airy arrangement and beauty in the intimacy of saying less is the power of this soundtrack-ready song. There is pure etherealism and wandering punctuation throughout. Enchantment.
“Lighthouse” is from the forthcoming embracing titled ‘Anchor Me’ album, a release the storyteller graciously confesses, “I don’t expect the industry to be different than it is. I’m ready to put something a little more intimate and personal out there, and I don’t have everything in my world riding on whether or not this album breaks even or allows me to make a decent living. It’s freeing.”
You can stream the reflective “Lighthouse“; here at the GTC.

“Songwriter Lara Ruggles performs simmering electronic-leaning pop anthems as Sharkk Heartt. Her dynamic and versatile vocals have been compared to Florence and the Machine, Sarah McLachlan, and Duffy, with an overall sound landing somewhere between London Grammar and Sylvan Esso.”
