After a number of insanely catchy and highly acclaimed releases and touring relentlessly, Boston’s future of Dreampop, Honey Cutt, announce they are furthering their relationship with Brooklyn indie powerhouse Kanine Records. The label, home to indelible sounds from artists like Pearl Charles, Grizzly Bear, Tallies, and Pinact, will release the trio’s debut full-length album, ‘Coasting’, on 13 March 2020.
To pique your interest, Honey Cutt have dropped a new going-your-own-way single/video, “Vacation”. In a press statement, the band’s namesake, Kaley Honeycutt, explains the origins, “Vacation is about having autonomy and not being dependent on others for your happiness. I think we have all been at the end of the rope with a person we wanted to depend on. Someone we wanted to be there for us. Sometimes you just have to let it go and do your own thing.”
Congratulate all this coolness by watching the breezy Stephen Chevalier directed film below, and pre-order the new album toot sweet, here. (Pink vinyl avail exclusively via Rough Trade)
