The Frames – “Set List”  (2003)
An album everybody should have just to have it. It’s live and it’s loud! All my friends had told me about this super group including what still seems like Mr. Superman himself Glen Hansard. In the summer of 2004 it started that we would drive to the Czech Republic just to hear Glen and his solo work and, of course, Frames songs acoustic. After the official concert we would sit by the fire or the lake listening to him singing all kinds of stuff. We would spend 2 or 3 weekends in the little villages around Prague making new friends and countless memories. It was a feeling of belonging to something very special.

Wilco – “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” (2002)
This goes back to my old days in Germany again. The best room mate I’ve ever had, Fabian, introduced me to Wilco by playing their “California Stars” one night at our apartment. I had never heard of that band before. Got to work the next morning and ordered “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot”. Listened to it for about a week straight and ordered their whole back catalogue. Classic!!! And I still melt listening to “I am trying to break your heart” or “Heavy Metal Drummer”. Where does it get better?
