NEU: DUCKS! (feat. Christa Belle) Blame
Ducks! Blame is available on Bandcamp, Deezer, Apple Music
by Walter Price
Feat. the incomparable Christa Belle, Berlin-based techno knitters DUCKS! have returned with another brilliantly pointed single, “Blame”. Chrockful of their signature swirling kaleidoscope of textures and repurposed sounds, this ode to flakey blokes is arguably one of their most pop-centric tracks to date.
Small man so dangerous
Hit back against insurmountable odds
I feel, I feel for you
We could die waiting for what you say is worse
Multiply
Retain disdain
Echoing, echoing
No fear in it…
The single’s origin story, soundtracked by a beautifully discombobulated groove, is laid out by the duo as, “..a deeply sarcastic ode to disappointing dudes. You know the type…when things turn out great, they take the credit. When everything falls apart, they’re nowhere to be found.” Oh, how we’ve all been touched by a few of those types.
Another release cementing the fact that the DUCKS! don’t miss and you can stream their latest masterclass in funky eclectic dancefloor glitter, here at the GTC.

“Lani Bagley and Craig Schuftan are Ducks!. In their Tiny Lights studio in Berlin, the Australian duo makes electronic music for the dancefloor and beyond, combining percolating synths and dreamy vocal harmonies with found sounds recorded on ancient cassette players..” – bio
