Post-punk/goth fans must be rejoicing in the coming together of legends in the genre uniting for a new twilight stunner “Diving For Pearls”. Lush, jangly, and ethereally produced, BEAUTY IN CHAOS (Michael Ciravolo) is joined by Wayne Hussey (The Mission, The Sisters of Mercy) and Cinthya Hussey in this timeless darling.
In this love lost track Wayne Hussey’s vocals are beautifully weathered and coupled with Cinthya’s harmonies, the emotional truths shine. The pain of letting go— is softened even further by the rich and celestial arrangement and highlighted by Ciravolo’s dreamy riffs. Altogether, it is a brilliantly woven single that balances the past and the now in a soundtrack-ready sound and vibe. In other words, this one takes me back in time to the emerging post-punk era when The Church and later the poppier side of The Cure ruled my HiFi.
