This review is less about the brilliant song construction and lyrical wordsmithery, which are obviously present on Stevie Starlight’s 2018 album ‘Taste the Light’… it’s more about the feelings this set conjures up. Heeps of soulful giddiness fantasizing that this is what it would sound like if Bowie and perhaps KC and the Sunshine Band merged and embarked on a sonic journey through the surf and psych-flavored ’60s. Whimsy soundtracking the fantastic worlds Starlight thrives in. Tactile, spacey, and real.
