So here at Slap Ya Mama HQ we had a little think about what is our favourite Christmas tune, to be honest it would have been easier to tell you which ones we don’t like! the one I (Marc) dislike the most is Chris Rea – Driving Home For Christmas. Pass the Sick bucket! However the committee decision was settled on and we decided to go for Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. Mainly because even if it wasn’t a Christmas song it would still be brilliant, Shane McGowan’s lyrics, Kirsty Macoll’s vocals are perfect whether its a turkey microwave meal for one or a 4 course feast with the family in front of the log fire.
