There is no better way to wrap up the GTC’s Holiday picks than with an artist who truly had one of the most remarkable years. Joy Autumn released not one, but two extraordinary releases Come As You Are – A Tribute To Nirvana In Olympia and Rainy Sunday.
But let’s step back a handful of years to old soul Autumn’s gorgeous Holiday album aptly titled, “Merry Christmas”. And snuggled in amongst such seasonal classics such as “Jungle Bell Rock”; “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”, “White Christmas” and “Frosty The Snowman” nestles a timeless piano Christmas balled, “Christmas With You”.
Co-written by Autmn and Angela Parish, this original tune feels like it slid from the pages of the Great American Songbook. Conjuring memories of seminal Winter songs from Nate King Cole, Billie Holiday, Julie London, and the like. Warm family scenes, snowy walks, and twinkling lights all make an appearance in this modern-day penned classic.
