By Claudia Price

“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order and lends to all that is good and just beautiful.” – Plato

Part 9

Ben Kweller – “Sha Sha” (2002)
Oh we have talked about 2002 already. What we haven’t talked about is Ben Kweller. He is the pure definition of singer/ songwriter as you know it. A voice that is far from being perfect but it captures you the minute you hear it. He’s the boy with the guitar as simple as that. You should give him a try one day if you can. And now that we’re talking about you…where are more of your fascinating stories, where are more of your all time favorites? I need more!!! it’s getting to be one addicting experience for this lady right here. Be brave and share your thoughts. Talk soon.

Matchbox Twenty – “Yourself Or Someone Like You” (1996)
I know Matchbox Twenty is all rich and super famous and all that but they weren’t in 1996. They were a small band from Florida and had just put out their first single “Push” when I saw them on MTV. They were funny, they were great people, people like you and I and MTV was still famous for playing fantastic music nor for being ridiculous. When the album came out I had to get it right away. I was going to school and worked at a supermarket at that time. I was young. All my money went to music and hippie clothes. Didn’t have a worry in the world. Wanna be there again. No worries!
