St. Vincent Is Active

By Walter Price

Annie Erin “St. Vincent” Clark has been quite the unusually busy social butterfly in recent days. Popping out of her NYC hideout to announce a handful of 2014 European tour dates and she  released a teaser for what seems to be a new track for an untitled future album…

I’m still getting into her knock-out of a collaboration with David Byrne, Love This Giant. (still haven’t laid ears on the follow-up EP Brass Tactics but I will soon)…I think I just happen to be a person who thinks Byrne is a genius and pairing up with St. Vincent seemed almost like it was destiny. I think you’ll dig it, so give it the ole try!

So if you’d like to see the multifaceted and somewhat reluctant star in all her edgy glory, this may be the right time. If there is one thing for certain, with an artist like Annie Clark, you really never know what will happen next!

Just like when she recently joined Pearl Jam on stage (along with Carrie Brownstein) in Dallas to pay tribute to Neil Young. Covering Young’s Rockin’ In The Free World. Now, if you have audio or video of this, send it our way…we’d like to share it. Please.

***UPDATE***
According to Luke Morgan Britton over at The Line Of Best Fit, St. Vincent will release a self-titled album on 25 February via Republic Records. With the lead track being “Birth In Reverse’ which was previewed in the tour announcement clip we posted earlier (above). All very convenient due to her timely tour schedule the same month….

And Again, another update.
A new single has been released online. Check out “Digital Witness” as well as the previously released “Birth In Reverse” down below the European tour dates!
