Skinny Lister single, “Thing Like That”, from The Devil, The Heart & The Fight (Deluxe) is also available on iTunes.

Arguably the hardest working music collective, Skinny Lister, has been known to kill on stage from the UK, US, Europe, and many spots in-between. Raucous live shows may be responsible for their growing fanbase, but the band is also known for music with tactile messages and their recent single, “Thing Like That” is as timely as anything they’ve done. The world’s political climates have shifted into some of the strangest, polarizing, and threatening in history. And who are these talking heads claiming to represent its communities?
In a folk-based alt-.rocker, this single explores the divides. But don’t worry yourself silly, it isn’t a preachy bore some socially charged tunes can be. Yet, a pure bounciness is the soundscape wrapping around a solid message. The video show vocalist Daniel Heptinstall going around town in a Union Jack onesie taking in the reactions caused by such an outfit. Highlighting the diversity an iconic image impacts different people.
This single comes from the deluxe version of the band’s stellar The Devil, The Heart & The Fight (Xtra Mile Recordings). You can also watch the video below as well as a link to summer tour dates.
