The Beastie Boys homage from Sesame Street you never knew you absolutely needed

Sesame Street can be found on PBS.

it’s deja vu all over again. After spending last week getting lost in the Beastie Boys 1994 riot, Ill Communication, I was blown away with the new homage to that album’s first single “Sabotage”. And specifically, the Spike Jonze-directed video that ruled MTV at the time.

The new mashup created by Sesame Street’s Mylo the Cat (Adam Schleichkorn) takes scenes from the Big Bird film Follow That Bird and re-purposes them into a 70’s style cop-parody. The new “Sabotage”, starring Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Super Grover, Bert and Ernie, Telly, Ms. Finch and more is especially poignant as it pays respect to the late MCA (Adam Yauch 1964 – 2012).

Ch-ch-ch-check it out now…It is magical.
