Sorry – Right Round The clock is available @ Apple Music.
by Walter Price
If you’re into the hallowed sounds of Joy Division or get down to Black Bananas and/or Royal Trux then you’ve probably already found your way to the dark arts of London’s post-punk outfit Sorry. A band that’s intrigued the underground with their brilliant blending of alt, pop, art and indie-rock offerings over the past few years.
Their soundtrack ready recent single, a murmuring lament on ill-fated admiration, “Right Round The Clock”, could turn out to be their breakout. And the accompanying film, directed by Asha Lorenz and Jasper Cable-Alexander, is a dreamlike experience set in a pub with those kinds of characters that only creep into mind when unnecessary. You half expect Shaun, Ed & Co to pop in and ruin the surreal King karaoke sequence…but they don’t, yet the vibe remains. And that’s cool.
“Right Round The Clock” is available now via Domino Recording Company. Check out the soon to be classic film below.
