3) BY GEORGE BY BACHMAN (CD) — Randy Bachman – One of rock’s premier guitarists (Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive) in this tribute CD to George Harrison, covering many of his compositions from his Beatles days, plus a few of his solo songs. Very different arrangements with superb craftsmanship!

4) SHOULDA BEEN THERE – Jude Kessler—-The first in a series of historical narrative biographies on John Lennon (so far there have been four!) Jude is a leading authority on John Lennon, and this book takes you from his childhood through Dec.1961. Jude hosts the John Lennon Hour for Beatles-A-Rama radio and Blog Talk Radio, creates the “Beatles Authors And Artists Symposium” for annual Beatles At The Ridge, and is a regular guest speaker at The Fest for Beatles Fans!!! 5) HOW I WON THE WAR (BluRay)—1967 film directed by Richard Lester starring John Lennon with Michael Crawford as an inept World War II commander leading his troops to a series of zany misadventures in this satirical war classic. 6) THE BEATLES LIVE AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL (CD) – 2016 release produced by Giles Martin, after being long out of print. Includes 4 bonus tracks not on the original album!!!

7) GOODNIGHT VIENNA (VINYL) – Ringo’s 1974 album, newly remastered on 180 gram vinyl. Produced by Richard Perry, the follow-up to the classic “Ringo” album included the hits “Only You,” “The No No Song,” “Snookeroo” (written by Elton John & Bernie Taupin,) and the title track by John Lennon. Other great musicians on the album include Dr. John, Klaus Voorman, Harry Nilsson, Robbie Robertson, Jesse Ed Davis, Billy Preston, Gary Wright, David Foster, Dennis Coffey and Jim Keltner.

8) WONDERWALL – (BluRay) – 1968 Joe Mussot film about a reclusive professor (Jack McGowran) who becomes infatuated with a beautiful model Penny Lane (Jane Birkin,) the girlfriend of a Svengali-like photographer (Iain Quarrier.) The professor embarks on a quest to become her champion. To rescue Penny, he enters the magical realm of the Wonderwall, and returns to his laboratory a transformed man. The music was composed by George Harrison, with bonus features included!

9) SONGS WE WERE SINGING: GUIDED TOURS THROUGH THE BEATLES’ LESSER KNOWN TRACKS – Kit, whose works have been published in Beatlefan and Something Else Reviews, explores the Beatles’ lesser-known songs, and explains why they deserve more examination and appreciation. Kit also looks at some of John Lennon’s lesser-known solo-songs, a few of the solo-Beatles albums, and a chapter on Ringo’s most underrated drumming performances on Beatles records.
