Whether you’re an old school pop fan into the sounds of Book of Love and Anything Box or you get your kix to the drive of Icona Pop and Charli XCX, the new girl-power outfit Nasty Cherry are about to rock your playlists.

Speaking of Charli XCX, she seems to have her fingers all over this group and their recent singles. With writing credits, releasing the records on her own Vroom Vroom Recordings imprint and proclaiming, “fav band ever…”. Coolness is in the night air…just like the foursome’s video for “Live Forever”.

A film spontaneously videoed by the band at a funfair, a bandmate’s apartment, and perhaps a practice space. Doing what any group of fun-loving throwing caution to the wind and nary a rule applies young confident women do. Whatever they want…

My life’s too rock to roll
Everybody thinks that I lost control
But how it feels to take ’em all
Gotta pop pills like birth control
Stop, I’ll lock and load
Never been known to do what I’m told, blah

Is that you at the door
I’m laid out on the floor from the night before
Sleeping beauty, but I’m not so pure
Sleeping beauty, rotten to the core

This track, produced by much in the news hitmaker Justin Raisen and co-written by Charlotte Aitchison, will no doubt be a new late-night anthem for an entire generation of young unencumbered women who wanna live in the now with their heads up and leaving peer criticisms at the door…kinda like The Runaways once did.
