ELECTRIC MARY – Gimme Love

by Maria Haskins

“Gimme Love” is the hard-rocking, hooky second single from Australian rockers Electric Mary’s latest album “MOTHER” (released in February this year). It’s an awesome tune, and I’ve been pretty much listening to it non-stop since I first heard it.

The video for the track was filmed on location at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda, Melbourne.

DIG LAZARUS – Tell Me Why

by Maria Savva

Today’s Track of the Day is the catchy new song, “Tell Me Why”, from up-and-coming Midlands rockers Dig Lazurus. The single was released on 19th April. Get your copy of the single here.

Dig Lazarus have been announced as one of the bands playing this year’s 2-day Camden Rocks Festival! You can also catch the band supporting Massive in July! They’ll also be supporting Crobot in July, along with Wolf Jaw (formerly known as The Bad Flowers).

MATTHEW LOGAN VASQUEZMATTHEW LOGAN VASQUEZ – Night Forever

by Neil Schiller

Vasquez is originally from Texas but currently lives in Oslo, Norway. He’s best known as being the creative force behind indie rock group Delta Spirit who have been around since the mid-2000s but has been releasing some solo records recently too.

In fact, he’s just put a new album out, his third, LIGHT’N UP, which came out in February. ‘Night Forever’ isn’t from this though, it’s from his EP Texas Murder Ballads which came out last year. I thought it was a good one to share as a way into his catalogue. I really like it. It sits somewhere between Queens of the Stone Age and Muse for me. It’s earthy and operatic at the same time. If you like it, check out his new record too – it’s a little quieter that one, at times acoustic, folkier with a slight country tinge. Good though, even if you do prefer things a little louder as a rule.
