by Walter Price
Like a literal breathe of fresh air, UK folk-pop star on-the-rise Harri Endersby’s recent single “Mountainside” is exactly the calm your soul requires. A delicate lament on those cherished lingering memories. Inviting and go anywhere remembrances expressed beautifully by Endersby powerfully soothing vocals. Earthy tones that comfort as they carry the listener through her unfeigned approach to storytelling. And if you close your eyes and listen closely you can just about sense the outdoors sneaking into the recording.
The video, directed by Endersby husband and co-producer Rich Endersby-Marsh, continues the all-natural approach to expressing the track’s realism. As the beauty of Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire and its vast surroundings are masterfull costars, signifying the depths, strengths, and tendernesses of affection.
For fans of Markéta Irglová, Iron and Wine, and/or Agouti. “Mountainside” is from the gorgeous LP, ‘Mazes’, available now.
