What the world has needed now and for some time as it is, is more Dixie Chicks. And the three-piece group has been out and about on the world’s stages regaining their mojo. A much-welcomed turn of event’s in this fan’s eyes. Only to be solidified in the forthcoming release, ‘DCX MMXVI, on 1 September.
A release that has been teased with a stunning cover of Beyoncé’s “Daddy Lessons”. But wait a fast minute, the Dixie Chicks covering their favorite artists isn’t anything new. You may remember that Natalie, Martie, and Emily took their turn on tracks by Sam Cook, Bonnie Raitt, Tammy Wynette, Radney Foster, and Keith Urban’s band The Ranch to name just a few. And in celebration, of sorts, I’ve gone back and a bit forward to share 3 Reasons Why their best salutes. Dig in.
